Counselling with Lisa

Hello, I’m Lisa, and the founder of Gamechanger Counselling.

I was inspired to become a counsellor because counselling helped me to overcome my own difficulties and to successfully meet my own challenges.

You’ll have heard it said that seeking help is a strength – and it’s true. Embarking on a counselling journey can feel like a daunting step. I understand this and will support you in taking that first step.

Take the first step – book an appointment

Before we start any counselling, we’ll meet together in an Initial Consultation so that:

  • I can get a good initial understanding of your counselling needs and goals.
  • You can get a sense of whether I’m someone you’d like to work with.
  • I can start to build a plan of how we’ll work together to get you where you want to be.
  • You can ask any questions you may have, or ask questions you think of as we go along.
  • I can make a preliminary decision as to whether we can work together safely, ethically and within the scope of my training and expertise.  Should I decide that your needs would be better met by a different therapist or organisation (this happens only rarely) I will signpost you appropriately.
  • You can decide if you’d like to continue working with me.

Session fee: £40

Who I am

I’m a fully qualified counsellor who’s worked therapeutically with people from a wide range of backgrounds, both when I was a counsellor with the well-known mental health charity, Mind, and then in my own private practice which I established in early 2023.

I was inspired to become a counsellor due to my own positive experience of counselling – it helped me to overcome some real struggles in my life.

I treat each client as the unique individual that they are.  I tailor and adapt my approach to meet the specific needs of each person who comes to me for support.

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). Additionally, I am registered with the Counselling Directory.
