Appointments

I believe in making counselling available to as many people as possible.
;

I’ll spend some time getting a clear sense of your reasons for coming to counselling and to find out about your mental health history and background. I’ll explain what to expect and you’ll be able to ask any questions or raise any concerns.

Your first session

Before the counselling itself begins, we’ll meet in a session known as the Initial Consultation.

I allow 75 minutes for this session (although it doesn’t always take that long).

The fee for the initial session is the same as future sessions (£40).

During the session we will:

  • Share a basic overview of your mental health background.
  • Consider your current situation.
  • Identify what you hope to gain from counselling.

This is vital in order to ensure my skills and experience suit your needs so that we can work together effectively and safely.

It’s also a good opportunity for you to decide if you would like to go to the next step – starting your counselling journey.

You will also be able to:

  • Get a flavour of what I offer.
  • Ask any questions that you have.
  • Express any concerns you may have.

This will help you to make an informed decision as to whether you feel I am someone you would like to work with.

If any of this sounds like what you need then please do get in touch.

About me and my therapy practice

I believe in making counselling available to as many people as possible and therefore charge a flat rate lower cost fee of £40.

All sessions are 50 minutes long and are scheduled to take place at the same time each week.

I offer online counselling sessions on a one-to-one basis via Zoom which is a highly encrypted and secure platform.

The work is open-ended – there is no limit to the number of sessions available. I conduct regular reviews to ensure that your needs are being met and very much encourage clients to be open about what they feel is and isn’t working. After all, it’s your process and it’s about helping you in a way that is most comfortable and effective for you personally.

I adhere to the ethical framework of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) so you can be sure you are being treated in a safe, accountable and professional way.

Availability

I currently have limited availability on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.
